Rams Shed the Curse of the Kennedy's
The WatchDog
Staff Writer

Though there is much to speculate about with this year’s version of the greatest hope on turf, there are some things that require no thought processes whatsoever, and still some that fall under the category of “Duh.”

From presidents to pretenders, American folklore and legends have long touted that anyone named “Kennedy” was to be blessed with glorious initial successes only to be wiped out early and disappear from the fore-front.

The Kennedy’s are cursed.

Duh.

The irony here is that Kennedy, the President, infected Americas heart with adoration, while Kennedy, the Jimmy, infected the entire Rams defense by being fiendishly disguised as a number one draft choice while having compensatory ability.

But all that is over now, and the Jimmy’s, Jeritmetrius’ and Travis Fishers’ of the Rams have all left the building and taken their Larry Marmie stamped year-books with them. Let me be the first to wish them success in their new ventures and express hope that they find their ways back to the NFC West where they belong.

Maybe as starters for the Seahawks, 49ers or Cardinals?

While that may seem a bit harsh, I really don’t think anyone really cares. What is exciting, however is the possibilities the great cannings have opened up for Jim Haslett’s put-up-or-get-out sophomore squad.

I like his chances.

There are just some people you get a feel for, who just exude success and effort and it’s evident even before they step on the field. Adam Carriker is one of those guys. I’ll step right up now and call him the cornerstone of a new defensive era of respectability for the Rams. He will be an instant success and in a few years will not only be a major cog in the Rams return to the post-season, but along with “The Wroten,” and veterans Will Witherspoon, I predict the Rams will be a regular fantasy selection for their defense by the middle of the 2008 season.

Get the faulk outta here!

GO RAMS !!!
