What a great time to be a football fan. he internet has made available blogs from everyday fans to beat reporters. So the average fan can get daily reports from multiple sources.
I always loved the start of training camp. One thing is it officially kicked off football season. No more boring baseball, and golf. Also from a fans’ perspective the optimism is unbelievable, even if you are a realist you get excited about your teams’ success.
This year it is make or break for Scott Linehan, which may be just what is needed. Linehan inherited a roster full of Mike Martz type players. In other words: speed, speed, speed. Linehan is more conservative and vowed to cut down on turnovers. He also preferred bigger players. Some of players may have not fit perfectly into a new offensive style. Fast forward to the hiring of Al Saunders and the entire offensive philosophy has returned to the Vermeil/Martz era.
How that translates on the field is anyone’s guess but at this time of the year my Rams’ cup is half full.
Go Rams!
