The Hammer Needs to Fall

It needs to fall and fall hard. Chip Rosenbloom needs to start thinking seriously now, before the off season on whether or not he is really going to allow Devaney to do his job and totally rebuild this team. He needs to understand that although Zygmunt and Shaw are lifetime family friends, friends are not always the ones you want in charge of a family business. Especially something so out of their realm of understanding. And that has been proven over and over again through this entire decade. Except for a few select years they have done nothing but completely destroy a team many of us have followed and loved since we were children.
The first thing that the front office needs to seriously consider is this, is Bulger's contract worth keeping on board? Can the Rams afford to break free of the contract, take a loss and find someone who can really lead this team as a field general? They need to look at Bulger the way the fans see him. Since his big contract he not only has done nothing to improve to earn the big money but he's gotten progressively worse over time. Sitting on top of the world with the big contract acting as if he is now untouchable. He walks around with an attitude of “who cares?”. He came right out and said it. “I don't give a damn what people say or think.” Hello? That's not what you say when there are people out there that give their hard earned money each week to see him produce! This is not what a true leader says, because they do care and that's what makes them leaders.
Bulger has become a liability to this team and the front office must address this as their prime issue in the off season.
Bulger is not the only problem with this team of course but the amount of players that probably should be replaced is mind boggling!
If Chip does not allow Devaney to completely blow up this team over the off season I doubt very much there will be enough fans in the stands to pay the equipment manager. Chip needs to step up, take charge and demand that Devaney come up with a plan to completely rebuild the team from top to bottom beginning with handing out a huge stack of pink slips the day the season is over with. Give the fans a feeling that there is hope and there is a reason to still believe in this organization.
