NFC Worst No More

I must admit that in past articles I too, like most of the sports fan of America, have been all too quick to
label the NFC West as the NFC Worst.
What with the terrible records, awful drafts, and pitiful fan bases of all the NFC West teams, it is no
wonder that this label has been granted.
After the disgrace that is the Rams, the sham that is the Seahawks, the atrocity that is the Whiners,
and the "You can take that to the bank" postseason absence of the Cardinals, it is truly amazing that out
of it all came the NFC representative to the Super Bowl. Even though they started out the year 7-3, the
Cardinals were not picked by anyone to do anything in the playoffs. And because why? Because they were in
the NFC Worst.
All we ever hear about is Panthers this, Cowboys that, and oh yeah, can't leave out the frickin Eagles,
who no matter how bad McNabb stinks will ALWAYS be the experts' pick for second-half comeback team of the year.
I am sick and tired of the love affair with the teams outside of our division, and hopefully this latest
development will help to put an end to it all. And why not, considering that over the last nine seasons
starting with the Rams victory over the Titans in 1999/2000, the NFC West has represented the Super Bowl FOUR times!!!!
For those of you who are numerically challenged like me, that is a whopping 44%. The next closest is the
East with 3, then the South with 2 and the North just 1.
It is high time that we no longer refer to the NFC West as the NFC Worst. The record proves that the NFC West
is now the NFC Best!
Go Rams!
