Bankrupt Biz

OK all loyalty and sympathy aside this is a business
and if it were a mainstream business it would have filed bankruptcy. This team has under performed for
years, as have the coaches, front office, and ownership. In the last few months the housecleaning has begun.
Zygmut, and Shaw were ousted, Linehan and Haslett along with 90% of the coaches are gone too.
Chip Rosenbloom has a new GM, Pro personnel guy, cap guy, and college guy.
The final piece of the puzzle is the players.
This team has a SEVERE lack of playmakers. Drafting and developing ones will be key to this team
returning to glory. The Great Show on Turf is OVER, has been OVER, and will not be coming back.
So those last remaining players from the GSOT need to restructure or play out their careers elsewhere.
The latest figures were the Rams had roughly 14 million in cap space. That could be doubled with the release
of Torry Holt and Orlando Pace. Pace and Holt played better at the end but they both have had significant
injuries, and performance issues.
Holt re-emerged at the end of the season in my opinion because Donnie Avery started attracting double
coverage. Holt has lost his speed, seems disgruntled, and has not embraced being a mentor to the young WR’s.
His cap number is HUGE next year, he has been great but for a team stuck in a muck he has to be released
for the betterment of the team.
Pace could restructure like Little did last year to remain. Both Holt and Pace have been strong players for the Rams
and I appreciate all they have done, it’s just time to move on, nothing personal.
Go Rams!
