Training Camp 09

Training Camp 09 certainly seems to have more intensity and purpose than previous camps. Usually the biggest question has been if the Rams will have camp in St Louis, or elsewhere. Linehan camps tended to the trend of protecting and resting starters, with not many days in full pads and full contact.

New Head Coach Spags wants to see what players can play, and are willing to play hard for all 60 minutes of a game. He and his staff have reviewed game film, but since he took over, Spags has stated that seeing these players "live" will be the deciding factor.

Make no mistakes he may be a first time Head Coach, but Spags and a revamped front office certainly look the part. Rookies are all signed on time, free agents are signed, as well as key young vets retained before they can produce for another team.

Ultimately, until we progress through the preseason, and the season we won't know if this early hype translates to wins, but until then this is one Rams' fan that is re-energized.

Go Rams!
