What a Pleasant Surprise

After surviving a four day camping trip and a hornet attack, which ended in an allergic reaction on my part (luckily our group
had a nurse camping), it was not only refreshing to get home but a pleasant surprise to see that our Rams had won
their first preseason game!
The buzz I've been picking up since I got back is that overall the team played relatively well and fought hard
never giving up. This is what Spags wants from his team and it looks as if he may have achieved that in this game.
From what I can see, Bulger has picked up on the West Coast Offense and appeared to be sharp going 4/4. Sounds good
but I still won't put all my hope in Bulger until the real season is upon us. With three sacks, it looks like Spags
needs to work more with the offensive line. Because, although I don't have much faith in Bulger, I'd rather see him
behind center than Boller. I find Boller simply ineffective period. As for Berlin, with the way that rookie Null
is progressing, I would think his days are numbered. It sounds to me like Null should be groomed for the QB of the
future, because now is the time to start doing that. Because it's sure not Boller or Berlin.
Another good thing about Null is that it appears Bulger likes him and has already given him praise on his performance.
This is a good thing when your starting QB likes a back up.
With the preseason here, hopefully we will see continued improvement with this team and with that improvement perhaps
a pleasant surprise come regular season!
Go Rams!
