Another Sunday, Another Loss For The Rams

That's just a headline, not necessarily a judgment on the team as a whole.
I do agree with the opinion I am seeing a lot of, on various message boards that SOMETHING
has to change with the offense. It may be that more talent will be the only solution to the
long stretches of '3 and outs' we are seeing, but I think there is some credence to those
questioning the play calling of Shurmur also. It may be that he is adjusting to the additional
duties of the offensive coordinator, and I don't see any benefit for the team in not allowing
him time to grow into those responsibilities. This is, after all, a year in which the Rams
have already tossed aside veteran players in recognition of the fact that they are in a long
range rebuilding mode which will eventually mean sustained success for the team, but a tougher
road in the short term as they endure rookie mistakes in the interest of making those young
players better in the long term. I still see this team, though it is short on talent,
as a group who is dedicated to grinding it out with maximum effort.
Kudos to Chip Rosenbloom for making a clear statement on his intentions that if he sells the team, that it be to a group that will keep the team in St Louis. I am sick and tired of the Post Dispatch reviving the 'back to LA' angle every so often in efforts to stir the pot and sell a few papers . With the attitude of some fans and the media being as negative as it is, in some ways moving the team would be what they deserve. I think Chip and Lucia would be excellent owners in the long term and wish that would be the outcome, but I think the inheritance tax 'hit' they would take makes that very unlikely. I just think we need to remain calm and loyal as Ram fans for the short term, and we will see a top-notch team and organization come out the other side of this admittedly bad time we are enduring presently!
Go Rams! Keep the faith!
