Ricky Proehl

Will always be remembered by Rams fans for the guy that made "The Catch", the amazing acrobatic catch in the corner of the end zone against the Buccaneers, to propel the Rams into Super Bowl 34. Although he did not end his career with the Rams, he did end up his last year with the Colts, where although he didn't play a down in the 2007 Super Bowl, he did walk away from the game he so loved toting not one but two SB rings.
2004: Played in all 16 games with three starts for Carolina...Collected 34 catches for 497 yards to average a career-best 14.6 yards per reception...11 of catches occurred on third down and 25 resulted in first downs for an offense that finished 10th in the League in third-down efficiency...Recorded three kickoff returns for 64 yards...Contributed to offense that averaged 326.6 yards per game, the second-highest total in club history, trailing only 355.4 yard average in 1999.

College Career
A four-year letterman at Wake Forest, ranks first in school history with 188 receptions, 2,949 yards receiving and 25 touchdowns. He led the Demon Deacons in receiving three straight seasons, including his senior year with 65 catches for 1,053 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a senior, Ricky played in the Blue-Gray and East-West All-Star Games.
